Assignment #4

Group Webinar: Peer Review

Description

What is Peer-Review and Why is it Important? (via Jisc)

"It's a process where students review other students' work and provide feedback on it. Usually this involves students producing feedback reviews for peers and receiving feedback reviews from others.

The topic is important because producing peer feedback helps students develop critical thinking skills and make evaluative judgements based on the assignment criteria. In giving and receiving feedback, students develop skills that help prepare them for future professional practice and helps them understand the process of making academic judgements."

After completing the Group Webinar: Video Assignment, you must watch another group's Webinar Video in order to provide feedback and criticisms in the form of a Peer Review. Each group member is responsible for submitting the one-page Peer-Review by November 20th (Week 11).

Instructions

Each group will be required to review one other webinar and provide feedback (each student will have to provide a review of one page, Arial 12pt font, double-spaced).

What to look for:

  • Did the group hit on the requirements (i.e. summary, key themes, etc.)?

  • Did each person speak for the allocated time?

  • What did you learn from this seminar?
